第9回談話会が開催されました。

第9回談話会が開催されました。

題名　『 Advances in Heat Island Countermeasures Technologies 』
演者　ハシェム・アクバリ氏（東京大学特任教授、コンコルディア大学教授）

概要
Since 1984, scientists, environmentalist, and policy makers have concentrated in studies and efforts to combat higher temperatures in urban areas. Two particular countermeasure to urban heat islands have been the focus of most efforts: cool urban surfaces and vegetation.
In addition, some have studied effects of other measures such as reducing man-made heat and design of smart cities that minimize the heat island effects.

This presentation summarizes the main highlights of these international efforts (in all five continents) in four part of basic studies (measurements and simulations), material development, standards and policies, and education and outreach.
